Rubicon Outdoor Centre welcomes students with Special needs. Special
schools may apply for: an Integrated Program, OR an Individual
Program OR a program during our "Specials Week".
Our normal group size is reduced to a maximum of 8 students to
better cater for the individual student needs. Dependant upon accommodation,
we may take two groups (ie up to 16 students) from one special
school.
Mainstream schools are asked, upon Application, if they would be prepared to
share with Special needs students.
Special Needs Programs may be negotiated at any time if
we are able to accommodate the students.
A "Specials Week" has become a feature of the Rubicon
Year Planner. This program caters purely for Special students.
Up to 4 Special
schools may be accommodated at any one time; individual programs
are negotiated with each school and are conducted concurrently.
The students meet new friends in a friendly, supportive environment.
This week is designated
near the end of term two.
