Rubicon Outdoor Centre is ideally situated for all kinds of canoeing activities. Lake Eildon close by provides excellent flat water paddling, and the Goulburn River offers river touring and whitewater during the summer. For the autumn and spring, Big River provides a more challenging whitewater experience.

School programs normally involve a 3 hour flat water session to introduce students to the basic skills of canoeing. The program may then have a full day option of paddling on either the Goulburn River or Lake Eildon.
