We are pleased to
provide this Rubicon Outdoor Centre (formerly Rubicon School
Camp) website developed especially for our many friends,
past and present. This is a great way to keep in touch with
friends you have made during your stay with us and you can
re-live the experiences, the fun and the challenges.
The opportunity to re-connect whether you have been a student, visiting teacher or staff member of Rubicon Outdoor Centre will be available through a database currently being developed. We may be able to provide information you require and this may be a way to keep up with what everyone is up to.
You can help us!!
Your name, email address and the school you attended Rubicon with can be added to our database. Supplying these details will cost you nothing and you will automatically receive regular e-newsletters (from mid 2008) access to our bulletin board and other Friends of Rubicon only pages to see photos from other camps over the years.
Of course, your details will be kept confidential.
Relationships and connections are an integral part of programs offered by Rubicon and we would like to offer you this opportunity to re-kindle, re-connect and re-live those past connections.
Our Aim
Hopefully our Centre had a significant and positive effect on your life and our aim is re-connect you with Rubicon Outdoor Centre.
Rubicon Outdoor Centre has proudly provided outdoor education since 1978 and continues to provide opportunities to students in Victorian State Schools.
Rubicon offers “experiences in the outdoors to develop understanding, care and respect for self, others and the environment”. These skills and knowledge together with a great sense of achievement and satisfaction can be taken away by students to be used at home and in the wider community. Our programs range from 1/2 day programs to 21 day expeditions. Often programs are shared by two schools which provides the opportunity for students to make new lifetime friends.
Activities which challenge students include Rafting, Canoeing, Bike Riding, High Ropes, Rockclimbing, Horseriding, Snow Skiing, Rogaining and overnight bushwalking or snow camps in the Lake Mountain area.
